The Essential

What is a Blanc de Blancs? +

A Blanc de Blancs is a sparkling wine made exclusively from white grapes. Ours is born on the hillsides around Montpellier, between the garrigue and the Mediterranean, then partly aged in oak barrels. That time in wood gives it its brioche and butter notes, while a slow second fermentation draws a fine, persistent bead.

What sets the House's cuvée apart? +

Part of the blend is aged in oak barrels, still uncommon at this price: the wine gains its brioche notes and generous texture. The cuvée, a brut Vin de France at 13% vol. in a 75 cl bottle, is sold at €19.90.

How to offer the cuvée as a souvenir of Paris? +

With its gold and midnight-blue label, its Eiffel Tower under fireworks and its monogrammed cap, the bottle makes a natural gift. Sold singly or in cases of three or six, it is delivered within a week anywhere in France, in reinforced packaging; delivery is free in metropolitan France from €60.

How should the Blanc de Blancs be served? +

Between 7 and 9 °C, in a tulip glass, opened a few minutes before serving so the bouquet can unfold. On its own as an apéritif, or at the table with lobster in beurre blanc, roast poultry or creamy cheeses.

Effervescence
